Women's associations, political parties, members of the Zenûbiya Women's Community, poets and female students attended the scientific and cultural competition event held by the Young Women's Union at the Culture and Art Center.

Speaking at the event, the spokesperson of the union, Mûtia al-Mihemed, saluted women and 8 March, especially those in Northern and Eastern Syria.

Drawing attention to the gains made by women in the 19 July Rojava Revolution, Mûtia paid tribute to the women martyrs of the women's liberation cause.

Scientific and cultural competitions were also held at the event. A young boy named Rehef Bekro read a poem and dedicated it to Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Prizes were awarded to those who participated in the event. The event ended with the slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî".

Later, the participants went to the Culture and Art Center and attended the Hîlala Zêrîn Movement Women's Culture and Handicrafts exhibition.
