The 12th PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) Congress was held between May 5-7 with the participation of 232 delegates. The Congress was held in Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

The perspective and suggestions presented by Leader Abdullah Öcalan were read at the Congress.

The Congress called on everyone to commemorate its heroic martyrs everywhere and to further increase the struggle for the physical freedom of Abdullah Öcalan.
