The Press Office of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released a statement providing information about air and ground attacks by the Turkish army and the jihadist militia SNA and the resistance along the Euphrates. According to the statement on Wednesday, fierce fighting took place last night between the Manbij Military Council and the Turkish-controlled ‘Syrian National Army’ (SNA). Five SNA mercenaries were killed and three military vehicles belonging to the attackers were destroyed during the fighting in the south-east of Manbij. In addition, weapons and ammunition were confiscated.
“Our forces responded to the attacks within the framework of the right to self-defence and on this basis targeted the positions and bases of the mercenaries,’ the SDF statement said.
In addition, the SDF reported artillery attacks by the occupation forces in the area around the Qereqozax Bridge and on the airport in Sirîn. The attacks caused property damage.
According to the statement, a member of Internal Security Forces and 4 members of Military Discipline Forces were martyred and 4 members of Internal Security Forces were wounded in a Turkish drone attack in the town of Zirgan (Abu Rasen).
