The Yazidi Women's Freedom Movement recalled that the guerrillas had saved the Yazidis from the genocide in 2014, vowing to “resist until the KDP and the Turkish state are defeated.”
The Yazidi Women's Freedom Movement (TAJÊ) issued a written statement addressing the Turkish use of chemical weapons against freedom guerrillas in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).
The statement said: “The invading Turkish state has been carrying out massive attacks against the guerrillas since mid-April in partnership with the KDP. However, the guerrillas have been frustrating these attacks through their resistance. For this reason, the Turkish army is using chemical weapons against the guerrillas by resorting to barbarian methods.”
The Yazidi Women's Freedom Movement added: “A fierce attack is being carried out by the KDP and the Turkish army against the guerrillas who saved us from genocide in 2014. In recent days, 17 guerrillas were killed by Turkish chemical attacks. As the TAJÊ, we stand against the attacks directed at the freedom guerrillas. We will resist until the KDP and the Turkish state are defeated.”
