TJK-E: Let's build a chain of resistance from Europe to the Kurdish mountains

The Kurdish women's movement in Europe (TJK-E) held its 6th Congress and took ground breaking decisions for the implementation of the paradigm presented by Abdullah Öcalan of a grassroots, gender-free and ecological society.

The Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe (TJK-E) has published the results of its sixth congress. The congress took place from 17 to 20 June under the slogan "Rêber Apo [Abdullah Öcalan] freedom is our freedom".

According to the final statement of the congress, the three-day discussions, including criticism and self-criticism, resulted in great determination and informed decisions. “Our congress was the starting signal for an offensive fight against occupation, fascism and femicide and the destruction of the system of torture and imprisonment imposed in Imrali. On this basis, we have dedicated our sixth congress to our companions Delal, Hêvî and Deniz Poyraz, who fell this year."

The congress took place at a time when there are huge opportunities for development and benefit for women as well as for the Kurds and the peoples of the world, according to the final declaration. The current developments and the implementation of the paradigm presented by Abdullah Öcalan of a grassroots, gender-free and ecological society had been discussed intensively.

"Resistance chain from Europe to the Kurdish mountains"

In its final declaration, the TJK-E said that the murderous policy of the Turkish state against Kurdish women and the Kurdish people has not succeeded despite its inhuman implementation. “The Kurdish people and women have constantly fought against these attacks and made important gains. Attempts are currently being made to bring this genocide policy to a new level. The occupation attacks on South Kurdistan as well as on Shengal and Rojava were among the most important subjects dealt with at our congress. In view of the great resistance of the guerrillas, the congress decided to recreate this fighting spirit everywhere and under the premise that the guerrillas and the fighting Kurdish women are our pride we decided to build 'a chain of resistance from Europe to Metîna, Heftanîn, Zap and Avashîn’. It was decided to radicalize and step up the fight against the occupation attacks everywhere. Another goal is to fight this attitude of collaboration and betrayal that developed with the occupation. The unity of Kurdish women should be converted into an active position against this attitude."
