TJK-E announced that Evîn (Emine Kara), one of the leading figures of the Kurdish Women's Movement, Kurdish artist Mir Perwer and Kurdish patriot Abdurrahman Kizil, were killed in the brutal attack on the Ahmet Kaya Kurdish Cultural Center in Paris.
The women’s organization expressed its condolences to the families of the martyrs and added: “Today, an attack was carried out on the Ahmet Kaya Kurdish Cultural Center in Paris, by order of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The Turkish state organized this attack, as in the 9 January Massacre. The murderer is Erdogan and the genocidal system of the Turkish state. The French state, by not taking any precautions, covered up the crime and became a partner in the massacre. Evîn (Emine Kara), one of the leading figures of the Kurdish Women's Movement, Kurdish artist Mir Perwer, and one of our patriots, Abdurrahman Kizik, were killed in this brutal attack.
In the person of our comrade Evin, we offer our condolences to the families of the martyrs and wish our injured a speedy recovery.”
Killing of Evin not a coincidence
The statement continued: “Our comrade Evin was a very strong woman who grew up in Botan. She was a brave woman who fought for women and her country in every part of Kurdistan. She challenged the colonialists with her heart and consciousness. It is not a coincidence that this valiant Kurdish woman was murdered. Murderer male-states think that with the murder of women, they will stop women's struggle for freedom.”
They cannot silence the universal voice of Kurdish women
The statement added: “As the 10th anniversary of the Paris Massacre was approaching and we were preparing a commemoration with our demand to 'remove state secrecy', we received this message. This attack shows once again that Kurdish women are the target of the Turkish state and all its dirty alliances. We will answer them with the slogan 'to live is to resist'. We say to the killers and to every power that turns a blind eye to this massacre: no attack will be able to stop the Kurdish women's revolution. Kurdish women learned to resist from Sakine Cansız. Kurdish women saw struggle as more valuable than bread and water.
As in Paris 10 years ago, Kurdish women will fight until they bring the killers to account, and shed light to the truth. We will not give up our fight until justice is done.”
