According to reports, two young women have concurrently committed suicide in Mariwan city of East Kurdistan (Rojhilat). The incident took place in the Tappemusk neighborhood on May 31 when 30 years old Ameneh Saidi and 35 years old Feride Saidi ended their lives by committing suicide.

Both women were peddling as a result of unemployment and poverty.

Human rights organisations call attention to the increasing rate of suicides in Iran since March.
