United Kurdish Women's Platform visits women’s organizations in South Kurdistan

The United Kurdish Women's Platform delegation held meetings with the Tevgera Gorran, Tevgera Azadî and RJAK as part of its official visits in Sulaymaniyah on Tuesday.

A delegation of the United Kurdish Women's Platform, consisting of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) MP Nuran İmir, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Deputy Co-Cahir and Kurdish Women's Union Platform member Gülşen Sincar, Academician Evîn Adîn, Kurdistan Freedom Party member Zeynep Dinçer is having talks in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq). The delegation moved to Sulaymaniyah on Tuesday after a series of meetings in Hewlêr.

The delegation first visited the female members of Tevgera Gorran (Change Movement) in the afternoon, welcomed by Tevgera Gorran Delegation’s Head Nesrin Cemal and Tevgera Gorran Group Head in the Kurdistan Parliament, Gulistan Seîd.

Speaking here, Nuran İmir stated that they paid visits to parties and institutions in South Kurdistan in order to form a general platform consisting of members from four parts of Kurdistan. She remarked that the uprisings which have emerged under the leadership of women in Rojhilatê Kurdistan (Iran) should be taken as an example to shape their struggle.

Speaking after, Nesrîn Cemal stated that they supported the proposal from North Kurdistan (Turkey) women to establish a Kurdish women's unity platform.

The delegation then visited the headquarters of the Tevgera Azadî (Freedom Movement) and the RJAK (Organisation of Free Women in Kurdistan). The delegation exchanged views within the same framework.
