Woman from Turkmenistan murdered in Istanbul

More women are being killed in the Turkish state every day.

The misogynist policies of the AKP-MHP government continue to trigger femicide and violence against women.

In the Pendik district of Istanbul, a woman from Turkmenistan, identified as Rozygul Rejepova, was murdered by a man by the name of Annamuhammet Y. with sharp object.

The 29-year-old murderer stated that he had met Rejepova on the internet and confessed the crime.

In its report for the month of July, the ‘We Will Stop Femicide’ Platform (Kadın Cinayetlerini Durduracağız Platformu, KCDP) documented that a total of 36 women were murdered in Turkey within a month. Eleven more women were found dead in a suspicious manner.
