Women Defend Rojava releases video-tribute for Hebûn Mele Xelîl
Women Defend Rojava pays tribute to Zehra Berkel, Hebûn Mele Xelîl and Amina Waysî murdered following a Turkish air strike in the village of Helincê.
Women Defend Rojava is publishing a series of videos to pay tribute to the three women who were murdered as a result of a Turkish air strike in the village of Helincê, Kobanê, on 23 june 2020.
In this third video, the father of martyr Hebûn Mele Xelîl said: "We are very proud of her and I will follow her path til the last drop of blood in my body."
Hebûn Mele Xelîl was a member of Kongreya Star. She was born in the village Pêndir near Kobanê and suffered from cancer.
The other two women murdered were Zehra Berkel, a leading member of the women's organisation Kongreya Star and Amina Waysî, an active in the women's revolution in Rojava.
