The actions initiated within the scope of the 'Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, a political solution to the Kurdish question’ campaign that was launched globally last October continue uninterruptedly.

The letter campaign launched by the Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe (TJK-E) demanding the CPT to fulfil its responsibilities within the scope of the campaign, also continues.

The women's assemblies operating under the umbrella of the Kurdish Women's Union in Switzerland (YJK-S) have sent thousands of letters collected in Lausanne, Sion, Zurich, Geneva and Aarau to the CPT since the beginning of the week.

Members of the Ronahî Women's Assembly gathered in front of Claraplatz Post Office and mailed 1300 letters signed to be sent to the CPT. Necla Kılıç made a statement on behalf of Ronahî Women's Assembly before sending the letters.

Necla Kılıç said that the Kurdish people and their friends have been trying to make their voices heard by carrying out campaigns for years without interruption, demanding the CPT to fulfil its duty:

"As the Kurds living in Basel, we would like to remind the CPT of its responsibility as we send letters to it today within the framework of the ongoing campaign. Today, our leader is subject to an inhumane practice. The CPT, which should fulfill its primary responsibility against this practice, which is a continuation of the international conspiracy against our leader in 1999, remains silent today as it did yesterday. We would like to state once again that we do not accept this attitude of the CPT against isolation. As Kurdish women, we will continue our protests in every field until our leader is freed."

After the speech, 1300 signed letters were sent to the CPT.
