In many parts of the world, women are raising against male-state violence by taking to the streets on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, 25 November. One of the important centers where actions and activities have already begun is the city of Kobanê in Northern and Eastern Syria.
Within the scope of the activities promoted by the Sara Organization for Combating Violence Against Women, seminars on violence are being held in communes, councils, towns and districts.
Women activists have hung banners and posters in the city’s streets and are visiting women to talk to them and promote the week of initiatives and events.
