Women’s workplace opens in Ayn Isa

The Rojava Revolution helped women reclaim their space and role.

In Gire Spi's (Tal Abyad) Ayn Îsa district, a workplace for women was opened thanks to the initiative of the Syrian Women's Council.

The workplace has been thought as an opportunity for women to have a new space to carry out work and contribute to society's life.

Representatives of women's organizations attended the opening ceremony. Members of the Syrian Women's Council, Lîna Berekat, Sîham Qeryo, Nojîn Yūsiv were there, as well as member of women's associations from Deir ez-Zor, Tabqa, Raqqa, Girê Spi and Kobanê.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Lîna Berekat of the Syrian Women's Council said that women have been reclaiming their space and initiative within the society thanks to the Rojava revolution process.

Berekat added that women will meet their needs with their work places and women.
