Young Kurdish women go to Qandil to support Human Shields

The women oppose Turkey’s attempts to occupy South Kurdistan.

A group of young Kurdish women joined the human shields campaign launched in Qandil against Turkey’s occupation attempts.

The young women met with the human shield activists in Qandil on Wednesday.

Zilan Musa spoke on behalf of the Young Women Movement. “On behalf of the Young Women Movement and the human shields, - said Musa - we have promised we will continue our action until Turkey ends its occupation attempts of South Kurdistan.”

Musa, who participated in the resistance initiatives to protest against the attacks against Rojava and Shengal, said that they would resist in South Kurdistan with the same spirit she saw there.

In response to the silence kept by the government in Hewler over the occupation attacks, Musa warned the regional government not to stain the honour of the people of Kurdistan.

Reminding that Peshmerga forces had already been in these mountains with weapons in their hands, Zilan Musa called on the peshmergas to fight alongside the guerrillas and join the resistance.
