In Turkey, in the past 5 years, at least 17 Kurdish concerts have been banned. Among the artists banned were those from the MKM (Mesopotamia Cultural Centre), Mem Ararat, Mikail Aslan, Aynur Dogan, Zinar Sozdar, Roj Band, Azad Bedran.
