Imprisoned Kurdish writer Mujgan Kawsi deported to Evin Prison
Imprisoned Kurdish writer Mujgan Kawsi was deported from Keçuni Prison to Evin Prison.
Imprisoned Kurdish writer Mujgan Kawsi was deported from Kechuni Prison to Evin Prison in Tehran.
Mujgan Kawsi, who is ill, is not released despite the hospitals reports stating that she "cannot stay in prison".
The writer, who was detained by the Iranian Itlaat in the city of Hoşehir on 16 November 2019, was sent to the Itlaat’s prison in the city of Sari after her detention.
She was then taken to Noşehir Prison on 10 December 2019 and was brought before the Revolutionary Court on 19 December.
She was released on bail after the court sentenced her to 69 months in prison. Kawsi was later given an extra 7 months in prison and was therefore sent to prison again.
