Kurdish Literature Association established in Amed

The Kurdish Literature Association was established in Amed (Diyarbakır).

The Kurdish Literature Association was established in Amed (Diyarbakır). The aim of the association is to provide solidarity among authors and contribute to the development of language and literature.

A group of Kurdish writers in Diyarbakır founded the Kurdish Literature Association with the aim of promote solidarity among writers and develop literture and language.

The association, which aims to organize solidarity among Kurdish writers, is co-chaired by Sultan Yaray and Hogir Berbir.

Sultan Yaray underlined that the closure of Kurdish Authors Association by Decree Law led writers to decide to open another association.

Yaray said that the new association is planning to work with the Kurmanci, Kirmançkî and Soranî Kurdish dialects. The activities include workshops, panels, seminars and conferences.
