The University of Rojava will host its 3rd Freedom Annual Lecture on 21 April. The lecture will be given by Prof. Alpa Shah.

The Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Rojava is organizing the Freedom Annual Lecture Series. The 3rd Lecture is titled "The Insurgent Jungles: Forest notes on the Naxalite Guerrillas and Indigenous People of India" and will be given by Alpa Shah, Professor of Anthropology at London School of Economics.

The lecture will be moderated by Dr. Dilar Dirik.

The event will take place on 21 April at 7pm Rojava time. 

Prof. Shah will talk about her book ‘Nightmarch: Among India’s Revolutionary Guerrillas,’ a finalist for the 2019 Orwell Prize for Political Writing, the New India Book Foundation Prize, and the winner of the 2020 Association for Political and Legal Anthropology Prize.

Simultaneous English to Kurdish interpretation will be provided.
