Following a meeting between the delegations of the Autonomous Administration and the Damascus government, a joint press statement was issued.

The meeting was held as part of monitoring the implementation of the provisions of the memorandum signed on 10 March between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Damascus. The joint statement underlined that the meeting took place in a positive and constructive atmosphere, and that it was agreed to hold another meeting soon.

The joint statement highlighted four key points regarding the agreement:

1-The formation of expert subcommittees to monitor the implementation of the 10 March memorandum signed between the SDF General Commander Mazloum Abdi and Transitional Government President Ahmed al-Shara.

2-The resolution of issues related to exams and examination centers in a way that guarantees students’ rights and the integrity of the education process.

3-The discussion of mechanisms that would facilitate the return of displaced individuals to their original regions and working to eliminate factors that hinder these returns.

4-The reactivation of the file of the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud (Şêxmaqsûd) and Ashrafieh (Eşrefiyê) and ensuring it is addressed in a way that contributes to stability and social peace.

The next meeting will be held in the near future to conclude discussions and monitor implementation.
