Swedish Left Party supports Green Left Party in Turkey’s elections

The Swedish Left Party (Vänster) announced its full support for the Green Left Party in the upcoming elections. The party will also send an observer delegation to monitor the elections on May 14.

The Green Left Party’s spokespersons in Sweden, Ruken Yetişkin and Hasan Bozlak, held a meeting with Swedish Left Party (Vänster) MP Håkan Svennling and executive party member and foreign relations spokesperson Yekbun Alp. The elections to be held in Turkey on May 14 were addressed during the meeting.

Swedish Left Party officials announced that they would give full support to the Green Left Party and send a delegation of observers to Turkey for the elections.

The fascist policies of the AKP-MHP government were also discussed during the meeting. It was emphasized that Erdogan posed a danger in Turkey and elsewhere.

The participants of the meeting emphasized that "Turkey has become a country where women and children are not safe, and many civilian massacres have taken place in the last ten years". They pointed out that the Green Left Party offered solutions to various crises in the country.
