The six ISIS gangs who were arrested after the attack on Atatürk Airport on 28 June 2016, which was organized by ISIS, and in which 45 people were killed, were released.
According to Now Haber, the six ISIS gangs were sentenced to 46 times aggravated life sentences were released on 12 December, in accordance with the decision of the 3rd Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Appeals. The decision was justified saying that "while a fair and equitable sentence should have been imposed, an error was made in the degree of the incitement and an excessive sentence was determined with insufficient justification".
