Court orders release of three journalists
The trial was adjourned to 9 September.
The court released 3 of the eight journalists on trial for covering the funeral of a National Intelligence Organization (MİT) officer who was killed in Libya.
The trial began today. After the defense statements, the Court decided to release Ferhat Çelik, editor-in-chief of Yeni Yaşam Newspaper, Aydın Keser from the same newspaper, and Odatv news editor, Barış Terkoğlu.
Odatv editor-in-chief Barış Pehlivan, reporter Hülya Kılınç and Yeniçağ writer Murat Ağırel remained in prison.
The trial was adjourned to 9 September.
