Van MP Pervin Buldan and Asrın Law Firm lawyer Faik Özgür Erol, both members of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Imralı Delegation, are on their way to Imralı Island to meet with Abdullah Öcalan.

After 44 months of absolute lack of communication, Öcalan met with his nephew, DEM Party Urfa MP Ömer Öcalan, on 23 October 2024.

Following the meeting, the DEM Party delegation was allowed to go to Imralı. The DEM Party Imralı Delegation met with Öcalan three times, on 28 December 2024, 22 January and 27 February 2025.
