Prosecutor demands up to 15 years prison sentence for journalist Kara
A prison sentence of up to 15 years was demanded in the lawsuit filed against journalist Ayşe Kara at the Diyarbakır 5th High Criminal Court.
A lawsuit was filed against journalist Ayşe Kara as part of the Democratic Society Congress (DTK) investigation. Kara was accused of being a "member of an illegal organization"
Presenting his opinion, the prosecutor demanded that Kara be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison and deprived of some rights.
The first hearing of the case will be held on 9 November at the Diyarbakır 5th High Criminal Court.
