Dihaber’s Erdogan Alayumat is imprisoned in Tarsus T Type Prison. Sumeyye Alayumat, Erdogan’s sister, stated that when her brother covered the news in Dîlok on 14 July, he was arrested as a "suspect" and since then until now along with other prisoners subject to abuses.

"When the guardians enter the hall and demand all prisoners to line up for counting, the prisoners that refuse get beaten and thrown into solitary cells. For example, the journalist of the newspaper Özgürlükçü Demokrasi, Serkan Erdogan, was thrown into a soggy prison cell under the pretext of disobedience to the guardians" Sumeyye said.

A PRISONER COMMITTED SUICIDE

Alayûmat stated that her brother spoke of 13 prisoners that arbitrarily were put into those cells of whom nothing is heard of for some time and said: "My elder brother said that not only the political prisoners but also judicial detainees face torture. Not long before, a judicial detainee has committed suicide. Nobody hears of this violence and torture. The prisoners urge for an independent delegation to launch an investigation in Tarsus prison."
