The 38th group of activists took over the hunger strike launched by the Kurds in Lavrio to demand freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The indefinite and alternating hunger strike demanding freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan continues in Greece on day 187. The hunger strike is carried out by refugees in Lavrio Camp in Athens and has been promoted by the Revolutionary Youth Movement (Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger-TCŞ), the European Kurdistan Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Kurdistan-Europe) and the Kurdistan Cultural Center (Navenda Çanda Kurdistan). The hunger strike is in support of prisoners in Turkey who have been fasting since 27 November 2020.
The 38th group of activists took over the protest on Thursday. The new group started the action with the slogans "Bijî Serok Apo", "Bijî berxwedana zindanan" and "Jin Jiyan has decreased".
