Aydın Kurga, an ill prisoner held in Manisa Akhisar T Type Closed Prison, said in an open visit with his family that he was not given his medicines.

After talking to Kurga, who suffers from reflux, blood pressure and diabetes, his older sister Eylem Kurga said that her brother's condition is getting worse by the day.

"He couldn't see well. He had problems when speaking. He said that he was not given his medicines. He talked to the prison administration and asked why they had not given him his medicines. He was told that there was a crisis in Turkey. We can’t do anything about it."

Kurga’s sister asked that human rights defenders carry out an investigation in prison.
