Lawyer Muharrem Erdoğan, who visited lawyer Aytaç Ünsal who is on the 211st day of his death fast, stated that the period in the hospital has tired Ünsal Aytaç a lot.

Lawyer Erdoğan added that Aytaç Ünsal cannot sleep due to pain, and complains of numbness in his hands and burning in his feet.

The Freedom of Defense Coordination is holding a vigil for lawyer Aytaç Ünsal, who is on death fast. The vigil is held in front of Halkalı Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Hospital, where the fasting lawyer has been forcibly held for one month. Nihat Ünsal, father of Autaç Ünsal, and Hasan Koçak, father of Mustafa Koçak, who died on the 297th day of his death fast demanding a fair trial, attended the vigil. Lawyer Muharrem Erdoğan, who visited his colleague Ünsal, said: “I visited Aytaç 20 years ago, but the hospital process has worn him out.” He added that Ünsal lost a lot of weight. "It was clear from one of his eyes that the situation was bad. He said he was in pain and that this pain keeps him awake. There is a very serious burning in his feet. He complained that his hands were numb. He said he could only sleep 2-3 hours per night. He was very upset by the death of Ebru Timtik and he wants everyone to reclaim this struggle and fight."

Hasan Koçak the father of Mustafa Koçak, who lost his life on the 297th day of his death fast in prison demanding a fair trial, reminded that they know very well the pain being experienced these days and added: “We lost Mustafa, Ibrahim, Helin, Ebru. We don’t want to lose Aytaç. As a father, I have experienced this pain, and I don’t want other parents to experience the same pain."
