New investigation against Emine Şenyaşar

An investigation was launched against Emine Şenyaşar, who made a statement in front of the Urfa Courthouse on the 800th day of the Justice Vigil, and 4 people who supported the action.

Emine Şenyaşar, Human Rights Association (IHD) Urfa (Riha) branch co-chair Mustafa Vefa, Lawyers' Association for Freedom (IHD) Urfa branch co-chairs Meral Halat, Ibrahim Halil Öyke and Emine Çetiner were summoned to testify on the grounds that they "opposed the law numbered 2911".

The accusation refers to the press statement they made in front of Urfa courthouse on the 800th day (31 May 2023) of the Justice Vigil carried out by Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit.

For similar reasons, 32 investigations have been opened against Emine Şenyaşar since 9 March 2021, when the Justice Vigil started, and 10 of them turned into lawsuits.

Emine Şenyaşar will appear before the judge at the Urfa 3rd Criminal Court of First Instance today, Tuesday, on the grounds that she insulted AKP's İbrahim Halil Yıldız.
