Severe violations of rights continue in the Islamic Republic of Iran which continues a nuclear deal with western countries.

While executions didn't decelerate in Iran after the election of Hasan Ruhani as President, at least 406 people have been executed since the beginning of 2015, according to opposition sources.

The mass hanging of 6 inmates in Urmiya prison on 6 May raised the total number of executions in May to 31, to which no reaction was voiced in international arena.

Oslo-based human rights association Iran Human Rights previously announced that 753 people were hanged in Iran in 2014.

As this figure doesn't include the inmates secretly hanged and buried by the regime, the exact number of executions is guessed to be higher.

Inmates in the country are also suffering severe torture and savage executions under inhumane conditions.

The Iranian regime which is also intervening the clothing, behavior and hairstyle of the people is ranked among the most repressive countries in the world with regards to freedom of press, speech and internet.
