Mehmet Emin Akdaþ was sentenced to nine years in prison despite he was due to be released because of his medical condition. The young man remained paralyzed as the result of torture he was subjected to in prison some ten years ago. His lawyer Hesin Dursun, claimed that the prosecutor literally sentenced him to death with this punishment. Akdað is serving his time in Van F Type Prison and soldiers have to carry him to the courts.

Reporting on the case DIHA agency sayd that the man has a medical report which proofs that his body is 80% paralyzed.
