Political prisoners Ahmet Nas and Veysi Altan in Maraş Türkoğlu No.1 L Type Closed Prison talked about the serious violations of rights they were subjected to during the weekly phone call permission.
Nas stated that despite the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, the necessary measures are not taken in prison, and that they are subjected to systematic psychological pressures by the prison administration.
“Our petitions are not processed and there is no solution to our problems. Our items from cargo are not delivered to us. Food is very bad" added Nas.
Prisoner Ahmet Nas stressed that; "No measures are taken against coronavirus in prison. Our immunity is getting weak day by day. The weather is cold, yet we are not given blankets. We are exposed to verbal and psychological pressure."
Nas reported that they have been on hunger strike for a week due to the violations of their rights.
