Rome and Brussels demand freedom for Öcalan

Two demos were organised in the Italian and Belgium capitals

Actions and demonstrations are multiplying in Europe to demand the freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Two demos were held in Belgium's capital, Brussels and the capital of Italy, Rome.

Slogans such "Freedom to Öcalan" and "Terrorist Erdogan" were shouted at the rallies where Öcalan photos were carried by demonstrators.

Both demos condemned the isolation regime imposed on the Kurdish leader.

In Rome, Italy, both Italian and Kurdish activists delivered speeches and expressed concern for Öcalan's health and safety.

Activists also underlined that the regime of isolation imposed on Öcalan must be removed in order to create an environment in which democracy and peace in Turkey and Kurdistan could have a real chance.
