Ill prisoner Salih Tuğrul, who was released on 13 December 2014 after suffering a stroke and lost his memory while being detained in Siirt E Type Closed Prison, passed away on Wednesday in Mersin City Hospital, where he was undergoing treatment.
Tuğrul's body was taken from the hospital morgue by his family and members of the Association for the Assistance of the Families of Prisoners and Convicts (TUAY-DER).
Tuğrul’s remains were brought to Siirt from Mersin by ambulance, accompanied by HDP Siirt Deputy Sıdık Taş, Tevgera Jinên Azad (TJA), Peace Mothers Assembly, HDP Siirt Provincial Organization, Aid, Solidarity Unity and Culture Association with Families Who Lost Their Relatives in the Cradle of Mesopotamia (MEBYA-DER) and many citizens to the Şeyh Süleyman Cemetery where he was buried.
