Turkey and its proxies continued to attack Northern and Eastern Syria.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) issued a statement about the latest Turkish attacks. The statement said that "the brutal attacks in Northern and Eastern Syria continued. On Thursday, beginning in the early morning hours, occupation warplanes launched intensive airstrikes on the vicinity of Tishrin Dam, accompanied by continuous artillery shelling that persisted until Friday morning. These attacks caused severe material damage, particularly to the workers’ housing near the dam."
The statement added: "In the northern countryside of the dam, our forces repelled an attack by Turkish occupation proxies, eliminating several mercenaries and injuring others.
At noon on Thursday, Turkish occupation warplanes launched airstrikes near the town of Sheikhlar (Al-Shuyukh), west of Kobane. The bombardment resumed at 5pm, targeting the village of Ahmed Munir. One of the missiles fired by occupation aircraft landed on agricultural land, causing material damage. Simultaneously, heavy artillery shelling struck the village, resulting in significant destruction to homes and civilian properties. Throughout the day, Turkish occupation drones continued reconnaissance flights over the area."
The statement continued: "Turkish occupation warplanes also carried out four airstrikes on the village of Ghasq, near the Qara Qwzaq Bridge, causing extensive material damage. Meanwhile, Turkey shelled, using heavy artillery, tanks, rocket launchers, and mortars, the villages of Al-Tina, Ja’da, Bir Hisso, Dekan, and Al-San’a, as well as the Sayfi Hill and Qara Qwzaq Hill. More than 30 shells were fired indiscriminately, leading to widespread destruction of civilian homes and properties.
On the Deir Hafer front, Turkish occupation mercenaries attempted an attack on our forces’ positions. However, our fighters successfully thwarted the attack and launched a counter-operation against a gathering of mercenaries, resulting in casualties among the mercenaries, though the exact number remains unknown.
On the Ain Issa front, Turkish drones continued to fly over the region during the day."
