The Suruç Families Initiative launched the "Justice for Suruç, Justice for All" campaign, to mark the massacre of 33 people carried out on 20 July 2015 in Suruç, Urfa.

The Suruç Families Initiative held a press statement in the place where Berkin Elvan was shot by the police during the Gezi park resistance. Berkin's mother, Gülsüm Elvan, youth organizations and many people joined the action.

Speaking at the action, Elvan said: "It has been 8 years since Berkin was shot. 7 years later, they put just one killer on trial. A police officer was sentenced to 16 years and 8 months in prison.

I will continue my struggle for justice. Justice for everyone."

Speaking on behalf of youth organizations, Mısra Sapan said: "The Suruç Massacre that took place 6 years ago is one of the bloodiest massacres of the last years. The history of this land is full of massacres. The justice of the state questioned why Berkin was in this street instead of the killers and declared Berkin a terrorist, and our friends who went to Suruç were also called terrorists. We will win this justice with our struggle on the streets." Sapan invited everyone to the Suruç commemoration to be held on 20 July.

The action also called for participation in the march that will be held by the Suruç Families today from Kadıköy to Ankara.

The action ended with the slogans "Justice for Suruç will come with revolution" and "Justice for Suruç, justice for all".
