Trial against Kurdish activists continues in Stuttgart

The trial of the Kurds on trial in Stuttgart continued with a new hearing.

The trial of Kurds who are being detained in Stamheim prison in Stuttgart continues.

The 25th and 26th hearing of the trial in which Veysel S., Agit K., Evrim A., Özkan T. and Cihan A. are defendants were held in Stammheim Prison hall.

People who came to join the hearing as well as journalists had to undergo a strict search before being allowed in the courtroom. 

Veysel S.'s attorney Av. Martin Heiming interrogated Rıdvan Ö. on whose testimonies accusations are held against the defendants. 

Heiming underlined that the witness "gives statements that contradict statement made in previous hearings."

Rıdvan Ö., while rejecting some of his earlier statements, kept saying "I don't know, I dn't remember, I did not say anything like that."

A young woman from the visitors was told by Rıdvan Ö.: "Take note, so you will remember".
The tribunal announced that the hearing will continue next week on Thursday and Friday.

The Kurdish politicans are charged with violating Article 129 B of Germany’s constitution known as the “foreign terrorist organizations” article.
