The women’s council has held a crowded meeting in the village of Kanya Kurda to discuss the latest developments and events in western Kurdistan and Syria. They also discussed the importance of organizing women and increase their awareness. The women also discussed the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan by the Turkish state. Members of Star Union expressed the importance of women taking an active role in society so to set an example for women in the region.
The meeting praised the role of the Kurdish language Institution and its achievements in spreading the mother language.
