Cemil Bayık said their duties today are heavier than those of the founders and called for action in line with the path laid out by Abdullah Öcalan.
Filiz Budak said the decisions taken by the PKK congress pave the way for peace and added that they will act according to Abdullah Öcalan’s call.
Although the PKK declared a unilateral ceasefire more than two months ago, the peace organization Community Peacemaker Teams has recorded a drastic increase in Turkish military strikes in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).
The Initiative for Unity announced its establishment in Amed. The meeting, which began today, will last for two days.
