12 including DBP provincial co-chair detained in Van
Police forces raided the DBP office and several houses in Van province this morning and detained 12 people including DBP provincial co-mayor Ahmet Aygün.
Police conducted raids on the Democratic Regions' Party (DBP) Van branch office in the central İpekyolu district as well as some houses and businesses this morning.
12 people were taken into custody in the operation, including DBP Van provincial co-chair Ahmet Aygün, DTK (Democratic Society Congress) Van spokesperson Ramazan Duman, Van TUYAD DER former co-chair Aynur Bağış and DBP Van provincial administrator Necmi Varhan.
Police broke the door and windows of the DBP office and left it in a mess during the search conducted inside.
