As heavy attacks by state forces continue in Cizre district of Şırnak, strikes by tanks and artillery attacks also hit civilian houses in Yafes, Sur, Cudi and Nur neighborhoods.

A tank-fired shell hit a house in Sur neighborhood Friday evening, as a result of which 15-year old İbrahim Akan lost his life and two other civilians were wounded. Akan's body and one of the wounded have been taken to Cizre State Hospital.

Resistance by the people in the targeted neighborhood also continues amid ongoing attacks with heavy arms and tanks.
