People's Defense Forces Press Office HPG-BIM reported that a total of 16 soldiers were killed and 4 others were wounded in ongoing actions by guerrillas in various locations across North Kurdistan territory.

ŞEMDİNLİ

According to the HPG statement, guerrillas conducted an action against soldiers participating in a military operation in Meleyan area of Hakkari's Şemdinli district at 14:00 on June 9. Two soldiers and two village guards were killed here.

Another action by guerrillas on June 9 targeted a Turkish troop on Xezalkê hill in Sümbül area of Zagros region, as a result of which 6 soldiers were killed and 3 others were wounded. Turkish outposts on the border shelled the scene with howitzers and mortars in the wake of the action.

ULUDERE

On June 10, guerrillas conducted assassination actions against the soldiers deployed around Martyr Kendal area at the border of Şırnak's Uludere district at 13:30, which left 2 soldiers dead. Turkish forces bombed Martyr Rênas hill, Deriyê Dawetiya and Gırê Berana area with howitzers and mortars in the wake of the action.

One other action by YJA-STAR (Free Women's Troops) guerrillas targeted the soldiers in the same area during the same day. Mortars fired by guerrillas hit the positions of soldiers, but the number of casualties couldn't be clarified.

In the morning of June 10, guerrillas targeted the Sinek hill outpost with heavy weaponry. While the outpost was hit by many several mortars, the death toll inflicted here couldn't be verified.

One other action by guerrillas targeted the soldiers forming emplacements around the Martyr Lezgin hill at Uludere border, as a result of which 1 soldier died.

SİİRT

A guerrilla unit hit the soldiers partaking in an operation launched by the Turkish military in Garısa area of Siirt on June 10. Six soldiers were killed and one other was wounded as a result of the guerrilla action which was conducted from two directions. Turkish jets bombarded the area throughout the night and the operation still continues.

AĞRI

Two guerrillas were engaged in an intense clash with Turkish soldiers in Kırê Alê area of Ağrı in the morning of June 8. Both guerrillas were martyred during the fighting.

Turkish warplanes shelled the Tendürek area in the afternoon of June 10.

OVACIK

HPG guerrillas and MLKP militants conducted an action against the Gendarme Command and Commando Battalion in Dersim's Ovacık district at 20:30 on June 10. While the death toll couldn't be verified, casualties were retrieved from the scene with a Sikorsky helicopter.

TURKISH JETS SHELLED GUERRILLA ZONES

HPG-BIM continued, reporting Turkish airstrikes against the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in South Kurdistan territory on June 10. Accordingly, Turkish jets bombed;

- Gostê and Hacıbeg hamlet in Xakurke area between 09.30 – 12.30,

- Şehidan hill in Zagros region between 11.30 – 13.00,

- Surroundings of Sarkê and Yekmalê villages in Garê area between 21.30 – 23.00,

- Dola Şıvamêzê area of Heftanin between 23.00 – 23.30.

One civilian house was demolished as a result of the Turkish bombardment.
