Police forces staged a crackdown on masses staging a march in Amed province in protest at the Cizre massacre, killing a 16-year-old youth by the name of Mahmut Bulak.

A large number of people gathered at the symbolic Koşuyolu Park in Amed earlier today to join a demo led by DBP, HDP, KJA and DTK to protest the mass murder of dozens by state forces in Şırnak's Cizre district.
HDP deputies Sibel Yiğitalp and Dirayet Taşdemir as well as executives of DBP-HDP Amed branches also joined the demonstrators who started to march from Koşuyolu Park amid slogans praising the popular resistance in the Kurdish town of Cizre.
The crackdown by police came soon later, which resulted in clashes upon the response of the mass. Clashes later spread to surrounding areas including Emek Street and Ofis district where people mount self-defense against the attacks amid a heavy siege by police forces.
16-year-old youth by the name of Mahmut Bulak was shot by a bullet in the head in Kuruçeşme area which left him heavily wounded. Bulak was taken to Bağlar Hospital where lost his life after a little while.
