In Cizîr canton, 17 political parties and organisations signed the petition led by the Kongre Star for the physical freedom of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and an end to the aggravated isolation imposed upon him.
Kongre Star launched a petition for the physical freedom of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and an end to the aggravated isolation imposed upon him in Bakur, Rojava, Bashur Kurdistan and Europe.
Since the beginning of the campaign, 17 political parties and organisations from the Cizîr canton of Rojava (West) Kurdistan have signed the petition.
The political parties and organisations that have signed the petition are: Kurdistan Communist Party, Kurdistan Liberal Alliance, Syrian Kurds Peace and Democracy Party, Democratic Assyrian Party, Syrian Kurds National Society, Democratic Women’s Union Bureau, Human Development and Psychological Health Smart Organisation, Mandela Organisation, Qamishlo Dewa Coordination, Hesekê Students Union, Qedîsit El-Ezraa Church Bureau, Xabur Families of Martyrs Bureau, Zîrevanên Xabûr a Asûrî, Assyrian Aid and Solidarity Association, Natûra Powers Syria Charity.
The signatures to be collected during the campaign will be sent to international human rights organisations that will be asked to pressure the AKP to end the isolation of Öcalan.
Several demonstrations and press conferences protesting the isolation imposed upon the Kurdish People’s Leader were held in Rojava cantons and Aleppo in line with the petition by Kongre Star.
