17 people detained during political genocide operations

17 people were detained during political genocide operations in Antep, Urfa, Siirt and Amed.

Unable to end the resistance, AKP government continues its political genocide operations against Kurdish people. 17 people including DBP Antep Provincial Co-President Demet Paksoy were detained yesterday.

ANTEP

DBP Provincial Co-President Demet Paksoy, former HDP administrator Rışvan Deniz, Hediye Şen and an unidentified student with the last name Yıldız were detained in Antep. 4 people were detained during house raid, in which police broke furniture’s and seized many materials.

URFA

Gendarme officers raided houses in the Qûbik (Sekili) neighborhood of Urfa’s Birecik district, and detained Hacim Şahin, Sedat Şahin, Emine Şahin, Kemal Şahin, Adul Şahin, Aziz Şahin and Faruk Şahin. The 7 detainees were taken to the District Police Headquarters.

SİİRT

Siirt University Student Council Representative Aziz Baday, Adem Öztürk, Naime Kaplan, Candeniz Yavavlı, and Helin Günay were detained in Siirt yesterday evening and taken to the City Police Headquarters.

AMED

Police raided a house in the Sanayi Neighborhood of Amed’s Yenişehir district this morning, and detained a person named Ezgin who had recently moved to Amed from Farqîn (Silvan) during the recent curfew in this district.
