Sema Çelik got seriously wounded when the police shot her in her head last night around 21.00 in Amed’s central Kayapınar district.

Police attacked the group that had gathered for a protest on Sıtkı Güral Avenue late yesteday evening. Using real bullets, police fired random shots on demonstrators. Sema Çelik, reported to be 17, was shot in her head by fire from a white Toros model car.

Çelik’s condition was critical and she was hospitalized in Dicle University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. Çelik is in the Intensive Care Unit at the moment and her condition is still critical.
