18 people buried by avalanche in Van countryside
In the countryside of Van province, 18 people were buried by an avalanche.
An avalanche occurred in the evening hours in the area of Upper Narlıca between Bahçesaray and Çatak districts of Van province.
A minibus, a taxi and a construction machine were buried by the snow masses. A total of 18 people are missing.
The rescue work is still ongoing. Numerous people have come from the surrounding villages to search for the buried victims.
