SDF fighters rescued dozens of Yazidi children and over 30 Yazidi women from ISIS gangs in the final operation as part of the Operation Cizire Storm’s Battle to End Terror.
The rescued Yazidis are sent to the Yazidi House Assembly to be reunited with their families by SDF fighters and Hawl Camp authorities.
The Yazidi House Assembly held a press statement today with SDF commanders present and sent 3 Yazidi women and 18 Yazidi children to the Shengal Assembly.
Shengal Assembly Member Henaa Yezid spoke in the press statement and said they are working constantly and are always in communication so Yazidis abducted by ISIS gangs can return to Shengal.
Henaa Yezid expressed gratitude for the SDF for their sacrifices in the rescue of Yazidis and added that Iraqi officials should open a path for Yazidis to return to Shengal.
Yazidi House Assembly Co-chair Ziyad Ewdal said there is another group of rescued Yazidis and they will be sent to Shengal after their immediate needs, like medical attention, are resolved.
