22-year-old Ali Sümbül died as a result of state forces' attacks in Şırnak province last night.
Turkish state forces conducted a heavy bombardment on several neighborhoods of Şırnak last night. The area of local residents who currently live in tents they set up in Bahçelievler neighborhood was also hit by numerous bullets and shrapnel pieces.
Ali Sümbül (22) was also hit by a shrapnel piece as he slept in a tent at around 01:00. While Sümbül suffered massive loss of blood, people around repeatedly called police and ambulance service. An ambulance came to the scene at 05:00 in the morning but Sümbül died from the loss of blood.
A woman by the name of Rabia was also injured in a foot as a result of the bombardment at night. She was similarly taken to Şırnak Public Hospital after the arrival of an ambulance only this morning. The woman is reported to be in good state of health at the moment.
