22-year-old youth murdered by state forces in Silvan

Attacks by Turkish state forces are getting heavier in Amed's Silvan district since the announcement of a curfew in Tekel, Mescit and Konak neighborhoods earlier this morning.

A sixth curfew has been declared in Tekel, Mescit and Konak neighborhoods of Amed's Silvan district. The curfew was announced from armored police vehicles and mosques at 05:00 this morning.

MÜSLÜM TAYAR MURDERED

While Turkish 'security forces' started to attack people yet before the announcement of the curfew, 22-year-old youth by the name of Müslüm Tayar was shot by police units that opened random fire from armored vehicles last night.

The youth who was targeted by police while on his way home in Feridun neighborhood, was heavily wounded at the scene. Rushed to Silvan State Hospital by the people around, Tayar was later referred to Diyarbakır Dicle University Medical Faculty where he lost his life despite all the medical efforts.

A preliminary post-mortem report revealed that the youth was shot by 2 bullets in the leg, 2 in the stomach and 1 in the chest.

Despite all the hindrance by police forces on the excuse of the curfew in effect in Silvan, Tayar family has received the youth's body and taking him back to the district now for burial.

Electricity, internet and all GSM networks remain cut in the district as attacks by Turkish state forces are getting heavier since the announcement of the curfew earlier this morning.
